Microfluidic-based cell sorting to better sample preparation for 10x Genomics applications
Cell sorting is used to separate cells according to their cell size, shape and surface protein expression. Classically used after single cell studies to validate biomarkers expressed on specific cell populations or to verify the existence of a newly identified rare cell population, cell sorting can also be integrated into multiomic workflows for single cell sequencing studies.
During this webinar we’ll discuss how using cell sorting upstream of single cell RNA sequencing enables you to sensitively and efficiently identify and characterize immune cell interactions. Highlighting a study using cell sorting to identify a small fraction of CD8+ T cells bound to peptide-MHCs, we’ll explore how characterizing only these T cells cells of interest increased the potential to detect rare T cell types and reduced sequencing costs by eliminating the need to sequence all species present in the original sample.
