Sorting fragile primary cells for in vitro expansion and downstream assays

Watch the importance of gentle sorting techniques to isolate fragile primary cells.  We will review:
  • The challenges of sorting fragile primary cells.
  • How low-pressure cell sorting and customizable sheath fluid contribute to cell viability and permit the extraction of fragile primary cell populations, previously unsortable by conventional methods.
  • How gentle isolation yields quality cells and allows for downstream in vitro expansion and other downstream applications.
We will feature the data obtained in collaboration with UC San Diego, in partnership with the Shiley Eye Institute. We will illustrate how using the WOLF® cell sorter facilitates the workflow for the extraction of fragile primary ocular cells, and how the quality of thus obtained cells impacts downstream assays.
